Amit is a versatile musician. His primary instrument remains the piano and he mainly performs Indian classical music on the Piano/Keyboards. Having learned the Samvadini from Pandit Manohar Chimote and Tabla from Ustad Allarakha school of Music, his understanding of Melody and Taal helps him to explore crossovers to present Indian classical music on the Piano. Amit also performs light vocal, Thumari, Ghazals in his unique style where he attempts to create an exquisite balance of Raag, Taal and Piano. Amit had the opportunity to perform with musical greats – Pt. Birju Maharaj, Smt. Shaswati Sen and Late O. P. Nayyer (Legendry music director).
